Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that is concerned with diagnosing, treating and preventing malocclusions (bad bites) and other irregularities in the jaw region and face.  Orthodontists are specially trained to correct these problems and to restore health, functionality and a beautiful aesthetic appearance to the smile.  Though orthodontics was originally aimed at treating children and teenagers, almost one third of orthodontic patients are now adults.  A person of any age can be successfully treated by an orthodontist.

Orthodontic dentistry offers techniques which will realign the teeth and revitalize the smile.  There are several treatments the orthodontist may use, depending on the results of panoramic x-rays, study models (bite impressions) and a thorough visual examination.
Dr. Oleksa works with several trusted and highly qualified Orthodontists to provide you the best care possible. Depending on the case, we also have some in-office options for tooth movement.

SmartMoves® is a less expensive, highly-effective solution for anterior tooth alignment. We work closely with the lab to provide a customized plan to meet your specific needs. SmartMoves is a series of clear aligners that progressively move teeth without braces. Each series consists of two aligners. Each aligner is worn two to three weeks, depending on the case. Once teeth have moved into the desired position, your SmartMoves treatment is complete.

MTM® Clear•Aligner

MTM® Clear•Aligner is the virtually undetectable way to align your smile without traditional braces. MTM® Clear•Aligner uses clear, removable aligners to correct slight misalignments (such as crowding or gaps). Each custom fit aligner is fabricated per your doctor’s treatment plan, to progressively advance your teeth into their ideal position, leaving you with a healthy and beautiful smile. MTM® Clear•Aligner is surprisingly affordable, achieving results at a fraction of the time and cost of many other aligner or bracket treatments, including clear braces and invisible braces. See if you are a “good fit” and then consult your family dentist or orthodontist to get moving.
